Home Page Lander Road Primary School Aspiration, Challenge, Opportunity, Respect, Nurture

In History we have been learning all about Early Law Makers, part of our learning has been focused on crime and punishments, and how they have changed throughout the years. In P4C we began our lesson by ordering a list of punishments from the worst punishment to the most lenient. In groups we came up with a variety of questions and voted for our favourite one. We had a whole class enquiry based upon the philosophical question, 'Do all actions deserve to be punished?' We shared our opinions thoughtfully and came to the conclusion that the punishment depends upon the action and sometimes a conversation is more suitable than a severe punishment.
