I have been a teacher for over twenty years. I began my career in 1993 working in Britannia Bridge
Primary School in Wigan, before taking up a post at Halsnead School in Whiston, where I taught Year
6 and took on the role of mathematics coordinator. This was my first management role in a school
and provided me with invaluable experience.
I took over the role of Headteacher here at Lander Road in September 2015, having been Deputy Headteacher at the school since 2002. During my time here I have taught in a range of KS2 classes and although I do not now have a class of my own, I do still support Year 6 in Mathematics. This is an area which remains of particular interest to me.
I am proud to serve as a governor at Lander Road and am committed to doing my best for the
school, our children and their families.
If you need to contact the Chair of Governors or another member of the Governing Body, please do so through the school office by popping into reception or calling 0151 922 5760.
